Happy Cinco de Mayo! I celebrated by avoiding tequila and Mexican food altogether. Since I have been in London since January 2nd (has it really been that long?), I have done a ton and seen most of the sites that I wanted to. The only thing I really want to experience a little more of is seeing a few more plays. After sleeping in late, I met my friend Jodi and we went to see the musical, Singing in the Rain.
I didn't really know what this play was supposed to be about, but it was recommended to me by a friend. It was entertaining, but not my favorite musical to date. However, the tap dancing was phenomenal. So much so that it has inspired me to take lessons. Just kidding...but seriously. After the play ended, the two of us were starving. Since we were in the theater district and right by Chinatown we grabbed some take out chinese food. We didn't really want to eat in the restaurant, so we stopped by a park and sat outside while we ate.
Since we have no work on Monday (it's a bank holiday in the UK), this weekend is a great time to relax. At this point I only have 4 more days of work. I must say that I have loved my experience in London and I'll definitely miss it. I'm ready to go but sad to leave!
